WhatsApp rolled out a whole list of new features in 2021 making the platform more useful and easier to use for everyone. These included both privacy features and features to deal with Covid-19, an app for businesses, and also the very handy payments feature.
WhatsApp on Thursday released a year-end review of 2021, providing a look back at the key highlights of its new feature launches and services offered in India throughout the year. The instant messaging app, which has over 400 million users in the country, worked with several governments to provide COVID-19 related information and resources. It also introduced features including View Once for media content and encrypted backups.
WhatsApp users can now make free and secure voice and video calls to their contacts on its web service if you have the app installed on your computer, the company announced on its blog.
