Photo provided May 25, 2021 — A musical instrument donation effort in the Adirondacks is hoping to collect as many band instruments as possible this summer. The brass, woodwind, and even string instruments, will be donated to North Country schools as part of the "We Are Instrumental" program. It started at Skidmore College last year, just before the pandemic, when 70 instruments were collected and donated to the music program in Ticonderoga.

MU student to sit in a rocking chair for 63 hours straight to raise money for cancer research

COLUMBIA - On Thursday at 6 a.m., one University of Missouri student will sit in a rocking chair in downtown Columbia, and he won't get up until 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 17.  Brian Carter is the 2021 rocker for Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) Fraternity's Rock-A-Thon. The MU fraternity seeks to raise thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society.
