SRINAGAR: National Conference on Saturday expressed dismay over the adoption of Jammu & Kashmir Industrial Land Allotment Policy, 2021-30 by the incumbent administration, saying such policy decisions should have been left for the popular state government to approve following the restoration of August 4 position.
While expressing dismay over the new industrial land allotment policy, Party’s Member of Parliament from Anantnag Hassnain Masoodi said that such policy decisions should have been left to a popular government to decide upon on account of its long term bearing on the industrial outlook of J&K. Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has given a New Year gift to the people who wish to construct a house on a small plot under its jurisdiction in the Capital City as the authority has notified standard building plans for low risk building category on Friday.
Now, the process has become almost effortless, requires fewer documents and completely hassle-free for landowners planning to construct their dream home. As per the said provision, the plot owners having a standard size residential plots in an approved Layout or Government Residential Scheme plots of BDA, G.A. Department or OSHB or on a final plot in Town Planning Scheme are not required to wait for any building plan approval and they can construct their buildings as per Standard Building Plan only after submitting a form in BDA/BMC office with specified fees. ....

OTML welcomes new trainees

Ok Tedi Mining Ltd (OTML) recruited 40 new trainees over the past two weeks for its 2021 internship programs.
Sixteen intakes are with the Graduate Development Scheme for a duration of two years, while 24 are trade graduates who will undergo a four-year apprenticeship training.
OTML Managing Director & CEO, Musje Werror, said: “Ok Tedi’s training programs are second to none and aimed at developing trainees to reach their full potential in their professional career paths and personal development.”
He said despite the delay in the recruitment drive due to the onset of the pandemic, all trainees are onsite and excited to be part of the Ok Tedi family. ....
