Ghaziabad: A 29-year-old man out on parole in a case of fraud came home drunk and found his parents fighting among themselves. He whipped out a country-made pistol and shot his father in the chest, killing him on the spot. Shivam Chanana then called up police and said he wanted to surrender. The alleged murder took place on Thursday night at Devika Skypers in Raj Nagar Extension, where the 29-year-old accused lived with his parents and younger brother Rahul. Police said both the brothers, who worked as supervisors at a factory in Sihani Gate, were arrested a few months ago in connection with a Rs 10 lakh fraud in their office. They got parole during the lockdown, when several jails were emptied so that Covid did not spread among prisoners. ....
