Several individuals appeared before Judge Andy Spivey this week for bonds hearings on pending charges, with only two defendants, Shedrick King and Quanda Standifer, having their motions approved. King, according to a copy of an arrest warrant, was adjudicated guilty in 1997, at the age of 18, on one count of purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana, which led to a felony conviction.

WBBJ TV January 17, 2021 On Monday, this former Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford caught fire. Fire officials say no one was in the building and no injuries were reported. The owner of the property, Devin Edwards, says if anyone has any information that can help investigators, please come forward. “They actually put up a sign in front of the house that there was a $5,000 reward to anybody who could give information about the arson” said Edwards. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
