How the Border Target Operating Model could affect Great Britain-Europe trade
On 11 April, the UK government released the draft of the Border Target Operating Model (BTOM). The BTOM will, if accepted, have a significant influence on the import of food from Europe into Great Britain (Northern Ireland is not affected). An online survey, closing on 19 May, was provided to give stakeholders their say on the BTOM, and devolved governments in Wales and Scotland are intimately involved in the drafting process.
