Organizers of Tuesday's rally at Norfolk City Hall said they wanted to raise awareness about gun violence, a lack of communication between police and crime victims' families, and the need for working surveillance cameras on Granby Street.
"Norfolk Police Department has increased patrols and presence in the City's entertainment districts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights," a spokesperson wrote.
