Man killed in wreck on Blanton Road in Fayetteville, police say
A Fayetteville man was killed and a teen seriously injured in a single-vehicle wreck Friday afternoon on Blanton Road. Devontay Crumpler, 20, of the 500 block of Tipperary Court, was driving a 2015 Chrysler sedan toward Johnson Street when he struck a tree in the 4700 block of Blanton Road, according to a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department. Crumpler was pronounced dead at the scene. Stephon Links, 17, of the 6500 block of Vineyard Drive, was a passenger in the vehicle.
