MIP Diagnostics Ltd. has today announced that its synthetic SARS-CoV-2 antibody (COVID-19 nanoMIPTM) can detect the Omicron variant as well as previously proven Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma variants of the COVID-19 virus.
The Government of Odisha, hence, has become the first state in the country to order the Tata MD CHECK OmiSure RT- PCR tests, which have been developed in partnership with Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), made specifically for detection of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

COVID testing kit developed by TATA MD called OmiSure is the brainchild of Bengaluru virologist Dr V Ravi, which can detect Omicron variant within hours.
