Mother and son skiers, a different challenge

Article content This season Elliot Lake’s Mount Dufour Ski Area was able to accommodate skiers with physical challenges. Diane Morrell was the first sit skier I saw at the hill, and she was cutting it up. She was negotiating Main run, making fine turns, spraying snow, coming across the face, and carving a sweet turn again. The snowboarder was her son Ben, always nearby, keeping an eye on mom. Diane and Benny, enjoyed the last two weekends of the season at Mount Dufour. I had the good fortune to get to know them both, and what wonderful people they are.
