Whole Lotta Red album finally has a solid release date — and it’s right around the corner. On Monday night (December 21), Playboi Carti fired off a tweet confirming the project would indeed arrive on Christmas Day (December 25) as Akademiks previously suggested.  The tweet read simply, “12/25 > [lips emoji].” 12/25 > �� The 24-year-old rapper also shared the cover art and pre-order link to his Instagram account, writing, “AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I t0LD U ! Advertisement Last month, Carti previewed his collaboration with West in a video clip which saw the Atlanta native dancing around to the music in a dimly lit studio, with the track opening with an intro by the ‘Jesus Is King’ rapper before a long instrumental breakdown. ‘Whole Lotta Red’ is Playboi Carti’s second full length album following his debut ‘Die Lit’ in 2018. Prior to that, he released his debut eponymous mixtape in 2017.

In November, Carti shared a snippet of a Kanye West verse on Instagram and thanked him in the captions. He also posted a picture of himself hanging out with Kid Cudi while shouting him out for his recently released album Man On The Moon III: The Chosen on Instagram.

Along with Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert confirmed his cameo on ‘Whole Lotta Red’ as well The Eternal Atake. The Philly rapper was with a friend on Instagram Live, where fans were commenting. That announcement came via an IG post with both artists pictured, and appropriate lighting. As for the caption, he indicated that he linked with Cudi, and that he's a real, real big fan of his work.
