Scholarship established in Alan Canfora's name Staff Report  A scholarship in Alan Canfora's name has been created to honor his life and legacy by supporting future Kent State University students. One of nine Kent State University students wounded in the May 4, 1970, shootings on campus, Canfora, 71, died Dec. 20 following a short illness.   Canfora earned his undergraduate degree in 1972 and a master's in library science in 1980.
