Vikas Gupta says: "Events always pose a risk and, hence, 2024 being the election year would be viewed with a focus on understanding the event risk better. However, FIIs would have already studied that risk and if there is dip just pre-election or post-election, it is going to be viewed as an opportunity from a long-term perspective."
In December, FPIs bought shares worth more than Rs 58,498 crore, the highest purchase by them in a month since November 2020. In November 2020, they had bought shares worth Rs 70,896 crore.
