Three-Time Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy Banned 14 Months Over COVID, Alcohol Breaches - Horse Racing News

Three-time champion jockey Oisin Murphy has been handed a 14-month ban and a $42,280 (£31,111) fine by the British Horseracing Authority after a hearing over his breaches of rules relating to COVID restrictions and two instances of alcohol use on race days. The ban is backdated to Dec. 8, when Murphy relinquished his license to focus on rehab, and will last until Feb. 16, 2023.
