For the past two weeks or so. there was an evacuation operation that was successful two weeks ago, but clearly there were some people left behind. so much of that village, we're told, had been bombed that this school was really one of the last remaining places you could actually shelter in. so some of my colleagues managed to get to that area and speak to some of the survivors, and their stories are really remarkable. they said amongst the 90 or so people down there were children and elderly people. one man said he was one of the first to make it out and got help with other people from the vil...
