Dimapur, Aug. 24 (EMN): Mokokchung unit of the National TB Elimination Programme (NTBEP) led by the deputy chief medical officer and DTO, Mokokchung, Dr. Aonungdok, launched the Ni-kshay Mitra, a community support for better treatment and care for TB patients, during a brief programme on August 24 at District TB Centre. During the event, Dr. Aonungdok highlighted that the activity was initiated by the then District TB Officer, Dr. Tiameren. He acknowledged all the Ni-kshay Mitras for donating nutrition supplements for TB patients in Mokokchung district, an update from the CMO’s office stated. He further requested the Ni-kshay Mitras to sustain the nutritional support in days to come. Dr. Toshila Jamir, SMO of chest diseases at TB Hospital, Mokokchung, spoke on the importance of nutritional support and adherence to treatment. It was followed with distribution of nutritional support by Ni-kshay Mitras. ....
