Met, congress does not have the authority to impeach. If they do, their impeachment would be void. Alexander hamilton said any act of congress that is inconsistent with the constitution is void. Congress can maybe get away with impeaching because there wont be judicial review but that doesnt mean they wouldnt be violating their oath of office. It would be abusing their power if they impeached President Trump on this record. Unconstitutional you say, i hear legal analyst say impeachment is whatever they the house says it is.
