Conman posing as UK-based 'heart specialist' dupes 22 women of Rs 4.5 crore
The con artist reached out to women through matrimonial websites, claiming to be a doctor and convincing them to give money by concocting fake medical emergencies. He also convinced some of the women to buy him expensive gifts. Police believe other women may have been targeted in the same scheme but may be reluctant to come forward.
