I think a large thing that that will hinge on is how her requests for a replacement on the judiciary committee goes forward. so to back it up a little bit, provide some context, senator feinstein amid these calls for her to resign had requested that her spot on the judiciary committee receive a temporary replacement. that s because one of the main concerns with her absence in the senate has been the hold up of judicial nominees because without her being in the senate the judiciary committee is evenly split, which means these partisan nominees cannot go forward. the process of actually going forward and giving her a temporary replacement, it doesn t come without precedent and looking like it s going to be a partisan battle what s likely going to happen is senate majority leader chuck senate majority leader chuck schumer, he will put in that request for a temporary replacement, trying to do it through unanimous consent. however, just one republican senator can object to that, which would ....
