The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) has approved an updated pet dog policy to address dog-human conflicts. The policy includes restrictions on the number of pet dogs allowed based on the size of the residential unit, responsibility for stray dogs being taken by RWAs and AOAs, mandatory dog registration with proof of vaccination, the use of muzzles in public places, cleanliness responsibility for dog owners, penalties for policy violations, and regulations for pet shop proprietors.

On Monday, August 14th the Plymouth Common Council heard the first reading of an ordinance to repeal the Dog Registration and Taxes for the city. Since 1918, the City of Plymouth has required the owners of dogs within the corporate boundaries to annually register their dogs and pay an associated tax for each dog.
