Hill. >> reporter: that happened just minutes before amtrak 188 derailed. the assistant conductor not only did she hear that being reported, she believe she heard the amtrak engineer say his train was struck as well. they are looking at the windshields of 188, and they are going to be doing lab test to see if it was struck by a projectile and what angle it came from, and it was ordered amtrak take safety measures immediately, and they installed the safe tracks, and they are asking amtrak to do a risk assessment on all of the curves along the northeast corridor. lastly, they are ordering amtrak
