India is handling the current Doklam standoff in Sikkim sector with maturity, thus, making China look like an adolescent throwing a temper tantrum, and if this escalates Washington might come to support New Delhi, a top US defence expert said.
The standoff between India and China at the Doklam area of the Sikkim section has enormous consequences for the world, including America, so the Trump administration should have its diplomacy at the ready, a former CIA analyst said on Wednesday.

Despite the caution expressed by Indian defence analysts, the de-escalation is likely to hold. But, the agreement to withdraw needs political endorsement from the prime minister.
