SunStar Contributed photo March 09, 2021 A YOUNG Fraser dolphin was found in a shallow area at the mouth of the Butuanon River Tuesday morning, March 9, 2021. Steve Tuñacao, a fisherman, said that while he was gathering oysters near the mouth of Butuanon River he heard a sound. Upon checking, he saw a fin and thought it was a shark but as he checked closer he saw a dolphin. He tried to bring the dolphin to deeper waters but it would still come back to the same area. As the eye could see. at a neighboring beach, workers picked up eight tons of tar balls. on another, emergency workers found an oil-covered dolphin stranded, and tried to save it. it died en route to a rescue center. we do not know whether the dolphin actually died from the oil and we'll take a few days to find that out. david mattingly joins us live from pensacola. >> reporter: a very sad day here at opinions cola beach. we want to show you some video that we took right at sunset. hundreds of people down at this beach. they walked right down to the line where tar balls are littering the beach...
