Fountain at Grand Island Park Holds 100-plus Years of History

The re-make of a Grand Island fountain was unveiled over the weekend after more than 100 years of history in the city.
In 1907, ‘Three Graces Fountain’ was dedicated to the original settlers of Grand Island at the site of the first Hall County Courthouse. The fountain was destroyed by vandals 50 years later and repurposed as a flower bed.
Then, a concrete fountain was put in its place. Hall County Historical Society decided to raise money to replace it with a cast iron version. ....
