The Eureka Springs School Board approved the salary schedule for the 2021-2022 school year on Monday night, agreeing to increase the base salary for teachers to $37,600.
Superintendent Bryan Pruitt said the state’s base salary is increasing from $34,000 to $36,000, and the Eureka Springs School District wanted to “stay ahead of that and be proactive on our salary schedule.”
Increasing the base salary to $37,600, Pruitt said, will help draw teachers to the district. He said that’s an increase of $500 from the base salary the board approved for the 2020-2021 school year.
“It makes our school more attractive to new teachers coming in,” Pruitt said. “We also pay up to $320 a month on everybody’s insurance. That’s right at a $4,000 benefit. It’s a nice package we have here for our staff.” ....

The Eureka Springs School Board approved the salary schedule for the 2021-2022 school year on Monday night, agreeing to increase the base salary for teachers to $37,600.
