Beijing [China], January 18: The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has invested Rs 4.86 billion (around USD58.4 million equivalent) in India's largest renewable energy Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT). The programme will have an initial $130m in capital and a $30-million co-investment sleeve.

The fund will be focusing on infrastructure credit and this is the first time where a fund is being set up with significant commitments from global investors, the statement said.

KIIF has already received commitments worth Rs 5,328 crore from anchor investors including Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). 

KDC Fund II will focus on making strategic investments in the fast-growing data centre sector in Asia Pacific and Europe.
