When it comes to appearance, Double Deceiver is, well, deceiving.

On Sunday (Sept. 18) The Red Mile hosted the most lucrative card in its history with eight $400,000 Kentucky Championship series finals for freshman and sophomore female and male trotters and pacers and two $100,000 Kentucky Commonwealth series finals for sophomore trotting fillies and male freshman pacers. Favorites provided their supporters with winning tickets but there were plenty of surprises on the 10-race card.

On Sunday (Sept. 18) The Red Mile will host eight Kentucky Championship finals worth $3.2 million for freshman and sophomore male and female trotters and pacers and two $100,000 Kentucky Commonwealth series finals for three-year-old filly trotters and two-year-old male pacers.

Double Deceiver downed favourite Rebuff to take the $80,000 fourth preliminary of the Kentucky Championship Series for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings on Sunday (Sept. 11) at The Red Mile. Boudoir Hanover powered home in the other Kentucky Championship split for sophomore pacing fillies. 

On Sunday (Aug. 28), Rebuff returned to his victorious ways at The Red Mile in the $80,000 third leg of the Kentucky Championship series for sophomore trotting males in 1:51.4.
