The Board of Works approved closing 11th Street for 8.5 months for the construction project that aims to dramatically decrease travel times between Chicago and Michigan City.

The office vacancy rate rose slightly to 15% in Northwest Indiana last year, according to the newly released 2022 annual Northwest Indiana Commercial In-Sites Class A office market report.
