12:30 p.m. eastern time, parts of the los angeles international airport began to be evacuated after reports of gunfire, shots being fired according to local police. airport officials said the incident was at terminal 3 at l.a.x. and passengers said there was a lot of popping sound. everybody was diving for cover. hundreds of people started running down staircases. according to one eyewitness, everybody started to panic. passengers were directed to board buses and were taken to smaller terminals nearby or taken outside. oh there's a lot of activity going on right now. more information is coming...
