Fianna Fáil fires Louth/East Meath PRO over Covid-19 comments By Marc O'Driscoll The Louth and East Meath branch of Fianna Fáil has fired its PRO, John Kierans. It comes after Mr. Kierans yesterday told Drogheda Life that Covid-19 is "no different to a bad flu season." He also called on the party to seek the advice of "anti-lockdown" epidemiologists and virologists. In a statement to the online news site, the party's Comhairle Dáil Cheantair moved to disassociate itself from Mr. Kierans' comments while urging people to continue following public health advice.
