Thursday, January 14, 2021 The number of active COVID-19 cases locally continues to decline. On Wednesday afternoon, the Scott County Health Department reported 20 new cases and 61 recoveries. Currently, the number of active cases is at 668, the lowest number since Nov. 17. There have been 2,905 recoveries and 71 deaths. Two additional deaths were reported in New Madrid County Wednesday making 40 deaths since the pandemic began in March. There are 40 active cases in the county with 1,907 out of quarantine.
