নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদন: শহরের প্রাণকেন্দ্রে পার্কিং এলাকা থেকে উদ্ধার হল মহিলার পচাগলা দেহ। মৃতের পরিচয় জানা যায়নি এখনও। ঘটনাকে কেন্দ্রে তীব্র চাঞ্চল্য ছড়াল দুর্গাপুরে। তদন্তে নেমেছে পুলিস।
কীভাবে ওই মৃতদেহটির হদিশ মিলল? দুর্গাপুর শহরের প্রাণকেন্দ্রে সিটি সেন্টার। পাশেই গান্ধী মোড়ে ওই পার্কিং লটে অনেক গাড়ি দাঁড় করিয়ে রাখা হয়। আশেপাশে কারখানা থেকেও আবার ওই এলাকায় আর্বজনাও ফেলা হয়। যদি লোহার লক্কর কিছু পাওয়া যায়! সেই আশাতেই ওই পার্কিং লটে যায় স্থানীয় কয়েকজন কিশোর। এদিন সকালেও গিয়েছিল তারা। তারপর? স্থানীয় সূত্রে খবর, বেশ কিছুক্ষণ পচা গন্ধ বেরোতে থাকে। সন্দেহ হয় ওই কিশোরদের। এরপর নজরে পড়ে, পার্কিং লটে ছাইয়ের স্তুপ থেকে বেরিয়ে পড়েছে একটি হাত! খবর দেওয়া হয় আশেপাশের লোকেদের। ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছয় পুলিস। শেষপর্যন্ত ওই ছাইয়ে স্তুপ থেকে উদ্ধার মহিলার পচাগলা দেহ।
ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য দেহটি পাঠানো হয়েছে দুর্গাপুর মহকুমা হাসপাতালে। রিপোর্ট এলেই প্রাথমিকভাবে স্থানীয়দের জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হতে পারে বলে জানা দিয়েছে। স্থানীয় বাসিন্দাদের অনুমান, রাতের অন্ধকারে বাইরে থেকে এনে মৃতদেহ কেউ বা কারা ওই পার্কিং লটে ফেলে দিয়ে গিয়েছে এবং সেটাও বেশ কয়েকদিন আগে। কারণ, প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীদের দাবি, মৃতেদহটি অনেকটাই পচন ধরে গিয়েছে।
