Horace Mann has donated a $15,000 computer lab to the Salvation Army of Springfield. The generous gift was made in the name of a former Horace Mann executive, Dwayne Hallman, and it bears his name.
Among other things, the Dwayne Hallman Computer Lab will soon serve as a ZOOM meeting center for area high school athletes and their coaches to connect virtually with recruiters from colleges and universities across the county.
The lab has already aided Springfield residents, some of whom may otherwise have found it difficult to get online to do things like file tax returns. ....
