"Enhanced triboelectric degradation of organics by regulating oxygen va" by Zuheng Jin, Xiao Zheng et al. - Vimarsana News

"Enhanced triboelectric degradation of organics by regulating oxygen va" by Zuheng Jin, Xiao Zheng et al.

In contrast to conventional oxidation techniques, tribocatalysis degradation of organics has gained much attention in recent years due to its mild requirement and low amount of energy needed. Therefore, we prepared Ba1.4Sr3.6NdNb7Ti3O30 (BSNNT) ferroelectric nanopowder by a solid-phase synthesis method and further investigated the effects of oxygen vacancies and heterojunctions on the tribocatalysis effect. The results showed that the introduction of oxygen vacancies not only reduced the valence electron potential required for the reaction but also greatly reduced the combination of electrons ...

"Enhanced triboelectric degradation of organics by tuning the synergy b" by Z. Jin, X. Zheng et al. - Vimarsana News

"Enhanced triboelectric degradation of organics by tuning the synergy b" by Z. Jin, X. Zheng et al.

It is urgently necessary to develop efficient and environmentally friendly catalysts to solve pollution problems faced by humankind. In this work, ferroelectric Ba2-xSr3+xLaNb7Ti3O30 (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6) (BSLNT) tungsten bronze ceramics were prepared using a high-temperature solid-phase method and applied as tribocatalysts for degradation of organics. The built-in electric field in ferroelectric BSLNT was enhanced by modulating the ferroelectric polarization and by electrical poling. The degradation results show that better ferroelectric properties of the tribocatalysts led to better the cat...

"Strong tribocatalytic dye degradation by tungsten bronze Ba sub 4 /sub" by Chaozhong Sun, Xiaoying Guo et al. - Vimarsana News

"Strong tribocatalytic dye degradation by tungsten bronze Ba sub 4 /sub" by Chaozhong Sun, Xiaoying Guo et al.

The triboelectric effect has recently demonstrated its great potential in environmental remediation and even new energy applications for triggering a number of catalytic reactions by utilizing trivial mechanical energy. In this study, Ba Nd Fe Nb O (BNFN) submicron powders were used to degrade organic dyes via the tribocatalytic effect. Under the frictional excitation of three PTFE stirring rods in a 5 mg/L RhB dye solution, BNFN demonstrates a high tribocatalytic degradation efficiency of 97% in 2 h. Hydroxyl radicals (•OH) and superoxide radicals (•O -) were also detected during the c...

"Hydrogen Generation and Degradation of Organic Dyes by New Piezocataly" by Yanhua Sun, Xiaoning Li et al. - Vimarsana News

"Hydrogen Generation and Degradation of Organic Dyes by New Piezocataly" by Yanhua Sun, Xiaoning Li et al.

Abstract Piezoelectric materials have recently demonstrated their potential applications in clean energy exploration and environmental remediation through triggering a number of catalytic reactions by harvesting waste vibrational energy in the environment. In this work, unique lead-free 0.7BiFeO3-0.3BaTiO3 (BF-BT) nanoparticles with tuned band structure were synthesized by the hydrothermal method for use as piezoelectric catalysts to generate hydrogen by splitting water; a high production rate of 1.322 mmol/g was achieved in 1 h, which is 10 times higher than the production rate of pure BiFeO...
