The Linebacker Conundrum - Draft Solutions By MISSIONARYRAIDER on Apr 20, 2021, 11:18am PDT + Morning Nation - With Bill Williamson the chief "writer" here at SBP - I thought it best to continue to pump out material while I convalesce here at home for the next couple of weeks. I hope you find my articles - at least - thought provoking. The Linebacker situation in Raiderland is somewhat sedentary with apt players filling all three positions - what is missing can be seen as two fold: Missing Linebacker #1 - THE APLPHA DOG: Don not get me wrong, I love me some Kwiatkoski, but the Las...

2019 Tape: Alabama at South Carolina Photo by Alika Jenner/Getty Images Almost very two leap years, Alabama and South Carolina play during the regular season. Thus, I hit YouTube with the hope of being able to watch the two of the top three rated CBs (ALA’s Patrick Surtain II and SC’s Jaycee Horn) in the 2021 NFL Draft pool in the same game and it just so happened that the two teams played in South Carolina in 2019. Apr 19, 2021 The NFL Draft will take place from April 29 through May 1 in Cleveland, Ohio. For many, the Super Bowl signifies the end of the football season. For me, it’s the beginning of the next season, as we get to start scouting rookies for the incoming class, bury ourselves into the depth charts to see what teams might need in free agency, and once that’s done, figure out what they might do in the draft. The next seven picks were Pitts and the 3 WR's; Slater/Sewell, and LB Owusu-Koramoah by Denver. It didn't leave me a lot of options at 11 and I received no trade offers. I did get an offer from Baltimore in the 2nd round as depicted below: Trade Partner: Baltimore Ravens Traded: Round 2 Pick 10 Received: Round 2 Pick 26; Round 3 Pick 40; Round 4 Pick 26; Round 5 Pick 27 So here is the draft: 11: R1 P11 LB Micah Parsons - Penn State On the...

Apr 19, 2021 GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay Packers enter this month’s draft needing help at cornerback. One of the top prospects, Virginia Tech’s Caleb Farley, is coming off back surgery. The Packers also enter the draft with a hole at center following the departure of All-Pro Corey Linsley. One of the top prospects, Alabama’s Landon Dickerson, only finished one season in his collegiate career. Perhaps the biggest challenge for general managers such as Green Bay’s Brian Gutekunst as he puts the finishing touches on his draft board is how to handle injured players. Some players mig...
