PERMISSION has been granted for an outdoor seating area with umbrella covers at the restaurant and bar in Bromley Cross. The plans for the west side of Retreat, Darwen Road, have been agreed for a temporary period of three years to allow for additional covered seating to be made available following the restrictions that have been imposed by the government in response to Covid-19. The area will project 3.9 metres and measure 20.5 metres long.
