Police say man died after altercation in Akron; woman arrested Beacon Journal Police were investigating a 61-year-old man s death following a reported altercation over the weekend at an Akron home. About 3:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a Cascade Valley home in the 200 block of East Lods Street, where the man was found unresponsive. Paramedics already were treating the man and took him to a hospital, where he died hours later. Police said an altercation was reported at the home between the man and a 50-year-old woman. The woman is accused of interfering with officers and paramedics several times during the medical emergency. ....
