Jun. 3—A tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 70 was affecting traffic Thursday morning near the New Stanton exit. Woman fatally struck outside disabled car on LIE: officials
A woman was fatally struck as she stood outside her disabled car on the Long Island Expressway early Saturday, officials said. The unidentified woman was standing by her stalled 2012 Nissan Altima on the right lane of the LIE’s eastbound side near Exit 66 in Yaphank about 3:10 a.m. when a 2015 Chrysler 300 slammed into her, Suffolk County police said.
