Two teenagers arrested after scooters stolen from garage in Eastbourne

TWO teenagers have been arrested after two scooters worth £1,000 were stolen from a garage.
The burglary, which happened in Meadowlands Avenue in Eastbourne on Thursday, was reported to police and the scooters were recovered on Friday, following information from the public.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling, handling stolen goods and possession with intent to supply a controlled Class B drug, cannabis.
A 17-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and possession of a controlled Class B drug.
They have both been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
It comes after a spate of break-ins to sheds and outbuildings in the Old Town and Hampden Park areas of Eastbourne, with a number of bicycles also being stolen.
