Hundreds of people flooded the Butte View Campground Saturday for an Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the ABATE District 12 club. Shortly after 11 a.m., the hunt started for the hundreds of plastic eggs strewn on the ground – and in some cases – up a tree. The plastic eggs filled with candies were just part of the event, with names being drawn after the hunt concluded to win Easter Baskets and bicycles according to age groups. The hunts were also split into different areas by age, giving the one-to-three year olds a different area, then the four-to-six and the other, older age groups.

By: Brittany Toolis A routine traffic stop turned into a big drug bust for one Oklahoma County sheriff's deputy. Authorities said six young children were also inside of the van at the time of the seizure.   On Easter Sunday the deputy pulled over a rented Chrysler Voyager for a traffic violation near Northwest 10th Street and Interstate 44 Northbound. The deputy thought Easter goodies and baskets filled the car's trunk, but when he got a closer look, he uncovered multiple pounds of meth. It quickly went from a routine traffic stop, with a family of eight, to the deputy searching the car.

The Friends of Land Between the Lakes have released its jam-packed programming for the month of April. The group is inviting all home educating families to use the outdoors as a classroom for Homeschool Month during April at the Woodlands Nature Station.
