Eastern Cape export symposium mulls upbeat outlook
Eastern Cape commodity exports improved to R14.5bn in the first quarter of 2023 compared to R13.5bn in Q4 of 2022.“Eastern Cape is punting a strong case to be the preferred investment destination and trading partner in the continent, as trade with the rest of the world continues to grow, while the country's trade figures have declined,” said EC Premier Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane, speaking at last week’s fifth instalment of the EC Export Symposium held at East London’s ICC.
