Meet the mind behind NASA’s recent solar mission. Aroh Barjatya is an Indian-born scientist who is currently working as an Engineering Physics professor and Director of the Space and Atmospheric Instrumentation Lab at ERAU.
Aroh Barjatya, an India-born researcher, led NASA's recent mission launching sounding rockets during the total solar eclipse visible in North America, studying Earth's upper atmosphere's reaction to sunlight dimming.
"The mission was led by Aroh Barjatya, a professor of engineering physics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, where he directs the Space and Atmospheric Instrumentation Lab," NASA said in a statement.
NASA, the US space agency, on April 8 launched three sounding rockets during the solar eclipse -- visible in North America -- to study how Earth's upper atmosphere is affected when sunlight momentarily dims over a portion of the planet.
