MINNEAPOLIS -- Teachers in Minneapolis have reached a tentative agreement to end a more than two-week strike over pay and other issues that idled some 29,000 students and about 4,500 educators and staff members in one of Minnesota's largest school districts.
Others say they're proud of the tentative contract's wins.
Saturday morning, around 4,500 members of the Minneapolis teachers union began voting on the tentative agreements reached with the school district. If the agreements are ratified, the teachers will return to work on Monday to prepare for students returning Tuesday.

The union has said it will hold votes this weekend, in an effort to stampede educators into accepting an austerity agreement before they have time to study it carefully.
