William Aho, 37, was arrested Friday after Portland police said he robbed someone near the west ramp to the Morrison Bridge using a homemade whip the evening before. He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center, records show. Robbery detectives later connected Aho to the fatal stabbing of 40-year-old Jay Hahn, who died shortly after midnight March 31. He’s accused of and assault, reckless endangering, criminal mischief and three counts of attempted assault on a police officer, among other charges.
