Seeking Router--Better than Idiot Box, but kinda for an Idiot I currently have Spectrum Cable gig service (940/50) in NYC. No hope of Fios it appears. I rent a brownstone and am fortunate the LL installed ethernet drops with homeruns to a patch panel in the basement. It was a while back, I think, so the cable in the walls is cat5e, but that's fine for my needs I think. I currently use the Spectrum modem (Ubee) and their awful Wifi Router (Sagemcom), which is locked down by Spectrum, both located on the 3rd floor.
