School Hits the Airwaves: Sierra Leone Turns to Education Radio as a Response to COVID-19 Format STORY HIGHLIGHTS Sierra Leone's experience with education radio during the 2014 Ebola outbreak has helped strengthen its radio programming during school closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure radio lessons are interactive and engaging, radio lessons comprise 30 minutes of lectures and 30 minutes of interacting with teachers by phone.
