Samples were taken after a 23-year-old worker at a pet shop, located in Hong Kong's busy Causeway Bay district, was confirmed to be infected with the Delta variant.
The city will also stop the sale of hamsters and the import of small mammals, according to officials from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department.
