A representative from Beaver County has announced his eighth term will be his last.

The 72-year-old was first elected as secretary of the commonwealth in 1994 after serving as a state representative from 1975 to 1991.

The Secretary of the Commonwealth says the measure is set to expire on Dec. 15 and that "it needs to be renewed."
