Assembly Elections: Are you heading to polling centres in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and West Bengal today, here's how to download your digital Voter ID card and booth slip:

New Delhi: As voters head to voting centres in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Assam, West Bengal and Kerala today, they can download e-EPIC on their mobiles. e-EPIC is a portable document format version of the Elector Photo Identity Card.
A voter can store the card on his/her mobile and upload it to Digi locker. They can also get it printed and laminated.

They submit petition to Collector seeking patta for the land
A group of residents from Viswakarma Colony near Palayamkottai submitted a petition to Collector V. Vishnu on Monday appealing for patta for the land on which they have constructed their houses and residing over the past 40 years.
The petitioners, led by M. Esakkimuthu, said they lived in huts in the colony as they were labourers. They constructed permanent houses with loan availed from Palayamkottai Cooperative Housing Society. The houses were give power connection after they paid taxes to Tirunelveli Corporation.

Raising voter awareness is one of the key focus areas of this special occasion.
India celebrates National Voters Day on January 25 every year to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India.
The Election Commission was founded in 1950 on this day. The occasion was first celebrated in 2011.
President Ram Nath Kovind virtually addressed the celebrations today. During the event, the President conferred the National Awards for the year 2020-21. He also launched the Election Commission's Web Radio: 'Hello Voters' - an online digital radio service.
