NEGAUNEE  Ella Standerford has been named the Negaunee Elks’ Student of the Month (middle school) for November. Ella, an eighth grader at Negaunee Middle School, is the daughter of Chris Standerford and Abby Cameron-Standerford. Ella is active in student council, and a member of the eighth grade girls’ basketball team. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping, hiking, paddleboarding, archery, basketball, photography, cooking/baking and doing puzzles. Ella has been on the honor roll every semester, took third place in the district spelling bee, won first place in a writing contest in fifth grade and was in the top 10 for the eighth grade Soapbox Speech Contest. Ella’s post school interests include teaching, genetics, and computer sciences. ....
